The main field of my artistic research is how basic painting materials and gestures can connect to the visual patterns of the era of the big data. With a mixed phraseology of conceptual art, minimalism, and visuals of digital reality, I try to redefine the generic ideas and methods of monumental abstract painting. I make large scale paintings as blow-ups based on my sketches that I draw in sketchbooks as well as in graphic design programs. This method of enlargement in which I preserve the extremely reduced forms and the scales of the original sketches gives the viewer a feeling of depressing monotony and boundless freedom. These feelings may be considered the main effects on one’s mind, who lives in a constant data flow.
